Who publishes these guides?

GEX Options publishes and maintains the trading guides on this site. Each article identifies GEX Options as its organizational author, shows its publication date and shows an update date when the explanation changes.

Guides explain how to read the product and its current rules. Recorded screenshots retain their context; built-in demonstrations and teaching examples are labelled. We do not present an example as a live trade recommendation.

What GEX and DEX describe.

Gamma exposure combines option sensitivity with open interest at each strike. Net GEX uses the platform’s call-minus-put convention. A put wall is a leading negative net GEX concentration; a call wall is a leading positive concentration in the selected expiration scope.

Wall analysis expresses exposure in USD per 1% underlying move. Read the displayed units before comparing it with the legacy Net GEX chart. DEX expresses modeled delta exposure in share equivalents. Neither measure observes every dealer’s actual inventory or identifies who bought or sold.

How the intraday view is modeled.

Intraday wall tracking follows one near-term 1W expiration scope. Price and time change while prior-session open interest and reference implied volatility remain fixed within a comparable window. The model uses a European gamma approximation, 100-share contracts and zero interest and dividends.

Price observations are delayed at least 15 minutes. Reaction assessments use completed five-minute bars and the recorded wall sequence. A leading wall moving onto price is different from price touching a stable wall.

How plans become qualified.

Intraday setups require a completed price sequence, entry boundaries and target room. Swing ideas uses an aligned daily trend, recent price movement, ranked walls and average daily range, then waits for a wall test and its daily-close confirmation.

The 2–5 day swing view uses 1M expirations; the 1–3 week view uses 3M. GEX, DEX, volatility and expiry details are available as context. A displayed contextual metric is not necessarily a qualification rule.

How to interpret the results.

Conditions met records when the scenario’s rules passed. A later target or invalidation records subsequent price behavior. These observations do not assume you entered a position, obtained a particular fill or earned a return.

The current research rules do not establish a validated win rate. Markets can gap through levels. Check current price, liquidity, earnings and major events when evaluating a plan.
