How to use intraday setup alerts
Find the alerts that qualified, understand Conditions met and In progress, and check the recorded entry, target and invalidation before using an assessment.
Use an alert to return to a recorded setup. Check its time and current price before deciding whether its entry area is still relevant.
Start with the symbols you follow.
Save your stocks and ETFs in the watchlist. Setup alerts are on by default while the site is open. You can choose sound or optional wall-testing alerts in the alert controls.
Scanner’s Wall activity view helps you compare the saved symbols. A Watching row points to a level and the next condition. It is not a qualified entry.
Find the setups whose conditions passed.
Open Recent alerts from the bell and use Conditions met to focus on qualified assessments. Use In progress to follow scenarios after qualification. These groups describe recorded price behavior, not your account positions.
The inbox includes today’s received notifications in this browser and fresh active setups from the watchlist comparison. From your watchlist identifies an active setup you can inspect even if you did not receive its original popup.
| Status | Your next check |
|---|---|
| Watching in Scanner | Wait for the required price sequence at the level. |
| Conditions met | Check the recorded entry area against current market price. |
| In progress | Review the original target and invalidation as later bars arrive. |
| Needs update | Check the time and wait for an updated comparison. |
Read the time and three price boundaries.
- Check the symbol, direction and assessment time. Intraday prices are delayed at least 15 minutes.
- Read the entry area. The wall strike itself is not automatically the entry.
- Read the reference target and the five-minute close that invalidates the scenario.
- Open the supporting completed bars. Check current price before deciding whether the scenario is usable.
Keep the entry window separate from the follow-up.
After qualification, the recorded target and invalidation remain fixed until a completed five-minute close reaches a boundary or the regular session closes. A new leading wall does not replace those original levels.
Entry window closed does not cancel a qualified setup. It means the original entry is no longer presented as a fresh opportunity. The card can remain In progress while later closes are reviewed. A gap in completed price bars shows Needs update and can resume after those bars arrive.
An example: qualified does not mean available now.
Teaching example only: a recorded bullish setup has an entry area of 100.20–100.50, a reference target at 102 and invalidation if a five-minute bar closes below 99.80. These are illustrative numbers, not current market levels or a claim of a generated trade.
If your broker now shows 101.30, the original entry area is behind current price. Conditions met tells you what qualified at the recorded time; it does not move the entry to your new price. Review the assessment rather than assuming you should chase it.
If price later reaches the target, the product records a price outcome. That does not prove a trade was executed or establish a profit after spreads, fees or slippage.
Why might there be no alert?
A price touch can be recorded without a qualifying setup. The completed price sequence, entry boundaries or target room may not meet the rules. A wall moving across price also does not prove a stable-wall touch.
An old scenario may leave the active inbox after its comparison ends. The list updates as the feed state arrives. A quiet list can mean no current qualifying setup; it is not a reason to treat a Watching level as an entry.
What delivery does the product support?
Keep GEX Options open for in-app alerts. Sound is optional. Today’s received alert history is kept in this browser and resets at midnight Eastern time.
The product does not deliver these alerts by SMS, email or closed-browser push. Swing ideas is a separate daily-close workflow without swing notifications in this version.
